Green Spot is one of Ireland's most storied single pot still whiskeys, originally bonded by Mitchell & Son of Dublin and now produced at Midleton Distillery in County Cork. This special Chateau Montelena edition is finished in casks that previously held Chardonnay from the legendary Napa Valley winery — the same estate that famously triumphed at the 1976 Judgment of Paris. The wine cask finishing adds a beautiful layer of complexity to the classic Green Spot character: the nose opens with crisp green apple, white grape, and a hint of vanilla. On the palate, pot still spice and creamy orchard fruit are elevated by a subtle wine-cask sweetness and a long, elegant finish.
